A device for lifting disabled people into and out of a bath tub consists of a frame (5) which has two limbs (5a, 5b) and a yoke (5c) connecting them. Standing upright on said yoke is a column (10) with the lifting device and an extension arm (22) attached thereto for holding a bathing seat (30). The column (10) is supported by oblique supports (11a, 11b) on the limbs (5a, 5b) of the frame so that it can stand freely. At least one of the limbs (5a) is provided with a cuff (9) surrounding the edge of the tub in order thus to avoid displacement of the device relative to the tub. The bathing seat (30) can additionally be turned by a joint on the extension arm (21) so that the latter can be tilted upwards out of the region of the tub when not in use. <IMAGE> |
