1535127 Drinking cups LIN PAC PLASTIC CONTAINERS Ltd 2 Dec 1975 [27 Dec 1974] 19073/76 Heading A4A [Also in Division F4] A double-walled plastics cup comprises an outer member 24 having a sidewall formed from stepped rings 34 and an integral bottom wall 50, and an inner member 22 spaced apart from the outer member and having a sidewall formed from stepped rings 62 and an integral bottom wall 71, the inner, and outer sidewalls each having an indentation, 64 and 40 respectively, which when a plurality of like cups are nested, Fig. 8, interlock to form a stable stack, the bottom wall of the outer member of one cup forming a compartment 84 with the bottom wall of the inner member of an adjacent cup to store food concentrate. The tops 30 and 32, are rolled together to form a rim 34' and vents 66 are provided to allow escape of air on nesting. The cups may be formed by plug-assisted thermoforming from thermoplastic material, preferably polystyrene. |
