The mechanical connector consists of a press seat of two synthetic material parts (1, 14) using two parallel cylindrical pins (8, 9) insertable in engagement holes (2, 3). One of the two engagement holes has a tolerance in the connection direction to the other engagement hole which is greater than that applicable in the crossways direction. The engagement holes have deformable ribs with pref. triangular or trapezoidal profile, and in the one hole the ribs are equally distributed around its periphery, whilst they are unequally so in the other.
