1473614 Anti-theft device ANTIVOLS SIMPLEX SA 3 June 1975 [4 June 1974] 23912/75 Heading E2A An anti-theft device comprises a barrel lock 2, rotation of which effects the longitudinal movement and fastening of bolt 6. In the locked position shown in Fig. 1 bolt 6 is fully extended and, barrel 2 is prevented from rotating by a radial push member 4. Insertion of a key into the lock forces a key-sensor 3 outwards until the member 4 disengages the barrel. Rotation of the barrel 2 by the key forces the stem 7 to the right by action of the cam 13 on tongue 11 and thus withdraws bolt 6. As shown in Fig. 5 the cam 13 is composed of four portions. As the key is turned tongue 11 leaves portion "a" and engages helical portion "b" to withdraw the bolt. Further rotation moves the nose 9 of stem 7 over the shoulder 8"' of projection 8. At this point tongue 11 is engaged with plateau "d". When rotation brings the ramp "c" into contact with tongue 11 the stem portion is forced down to hook nose 9 over shoulder 8"' and so hold the bolt in the withdrawn position. When the key rotates the barrel back to the locking position the nose 9 prevents the bolt sliding back until the recess in the barrel is in line with push member 4. Then when the key is removed spring 5 urges member 4 into the recess, toe 4" lifts the nose 9 upwards to disengage it and spring 12 sends the bolt into the locked position.
|
