Apparatus for testing gas mask for leaks - contains reversible pump, pressure gauge with stopcock and balloon

The apparatus consists of a pressure gauge, to which two flexible hoses are fitted. One leads to a connector that fits the inlet valve of the gas mask to be tested, and the other leads to a reversible (pressure and suction) pump, preferably a rubber bulb. The pressure gauge is fitted with a stopcock on the side nearer the pump. The whole apparatus is mounted on a board which drops loosely into a box; the box has compartmented trays for tools and spares. The tests are made with the mask fitted over an inflated balloon; the hand pump fits the balloon and can be used to inflate it.
