The clamp has a gap (11) through which a vine-shoot or branch can be inserted. On each side of the gap (11) is an angled arm (12, 13) extending on the same plane as the wire (5) to which the branches are to be attached. The part of the clamp containing the gap (11) lies on one side (A) of the wire (5), while the opposite side (14) is on the other side (B) of the wire (5). The middle of the clamp-side (14) has a hook pref. consisting of two pieces (15, 16) parallel to the plane and at right angles to the gap (11). The angled arms (12, 13) arejoined to the side (14) by means of bent pieces (21, 22) which hold the wire taut.
