Three:dimensional board games - are generated from two:dimensional board games by addition of two boards and simple rule extension

In the two dimensional version of e.g. Muhle (merils, nine men's morris ) the 24 positions on the board are grouped in 16 lines of 3 (each position falling on two lines). In the three-dimensional version, three (preferably transparent) boards are set in vertical alignment. To the 3 x 16 lines on the three boards are added the 24 vertical lines through corresponding positions on the different boards. The number of pieces increases from 9 to 3 x 9. A part from these changes, the two-dimensional rules would apply.
