Extruded sausage closure device - has shear arm pairs with overlapping tips and specified turning radius of cutouts

Sections of packages are divided off from a continuous filled hose (single sausages from a continuous tubular skin filled with sausage meat) by two pairs of shear arms. These arms form a reception space between them and overlap with their tips even when fully open, where they are guided by U-rails. The deepest part of the V-cutout in the arms turns at a smaller radius from the shear pivot than the centre of the extruder nozzle. This avoids any damage to the sausage skin, especially when the tubular skin has a dia. >55 mm. The design is simple and no excessively long paths and times of closure need be applied.
