<p>PURPOSE:To easily perform putting of an automobile into a garage as well as parallel parking and execute the function of an ordinary electric power steering device too by making the title device made of construction that releases automatic steering by means of a control means for automatic steering when perform manual operation during automatic steering or when car speed becomes more than a specified value. CONSTITUTION:When a controller 3 is turned to automatic steering mode by ON operation of an automatic steering mode switch 10, it controls so that the travel distance of a vehicle detected by a wheel rotation angle sensor 7 and the steering angle obtained from a steering angle sensor 8 responding to it become equal to the travel distance and the steering angle supplied from the memory 3a of the controller 3. And, it is so constructed as to automatically release the automatic steering mode of the controller 3 when a steering torque sensor 1 detected steering torque more than a specified torque despite it is the time of automatic steering mode, or when the car speed that a car speed sensor 2 detected becomes more than a specified car speed, and perform ordinary power assist action.</p> |
