The window with leaded panes is designed for improved heat insulation, without the likelihood of a build-up of condensation water. On the outside it has an insulating glass pane (10) and on the inside the leaded glass pane (7). The frame holding the two panes together (11) is fitted with apertures (8a, 11a, 11b) for ventilation of the intervening space (17) between the two panes. A spacer unit (6), with ventilation apertures (6a, 6b), may be fitted between the panes. This may be in the form of a rib which is part of the frame. There may be a spacer with a layer of butyl rubber, serving as a moisture barrier, cemented to both panes of glass (1a, 1b).
|
