A switch housing for a cam stack switch with contacts and a drive system. The switching chamber (1) has a guide track (12) symmetrically located on each side with either a switching rod (3) or a driving rod (3'). The switching rod (3) and the driving rod (3') are connected to the cam disc (7) with guide tracks which are in the same plane. There are slits (11) in the housing wall of the switching chamber (1) on both sides of the axis, and the fixed contacts are mounted in these slits. The cam disc is made with locking notches (71) and switching notches (72), and the switching rod and driving rod are both linked to the cam disc via a switching rod spring (5).
