Supply air is delivered to four zones of a building through distribution ducts. These are fed from a common plenum chamber through cooler batteries, with separately controlled heater batteries in each zone duct. The supply air is a mixture of fresh and return air regulated by a thermostat in the plenum chamber. The air quantity through these ducts is constant. A further duct from the plenum chamber delivers a variable quantity of air directly into the larger rooms and into a corridor from which it forces its way into the smaller rooms. The air flow in this duct is adjusted by dampers controlled from thermostats in the areas served.
|
