Storage installation is for the stacking of transformer laminations lined up along the edges. Conveyance is from an automatically controlled cutting installations to appts. which pre-positions each of the arriving laminations vertically. The installation is fitted with side, as well as front and rear funnel ledges. The pre-positioning appts. has guide ledges capable of being moved in or outwards to support the lamination along its long edges. Brake ledges are vertically movable and arranged so that the lamination, during braking between guide and brake ledges, is clamped tongue-fashion between them.
