<p>An appts. is used for the continuous treatment of continuous textile material, in fabric or strand form, where it follows a serpentine path between rollers in the treatment zone. To control the tension applied to the material by the deflecting rollers, a pneumatic cylinder, or the pneumatic line to the cylinder, is connected to a pressure valve with a linkage to the deflecting rollers to drive them according to the pressure valve. The system compensates for the differences in tension applied to the fabric from roller to roller because of the nature of the process and the fabric shrinking, or the amt of fluid drag on the material.</p> |
