Mould clamping - with adjustable floating beams to engage locking devices on the fixed section

The moving plate on the mould closing system is fitted with two drive beams and two floating beams mounted diagonally opposite each other. Each floating beam is fitted with a screw thread to adjust the length of its throw to ensure that the locking unit at its end meshes with the wedges in the locking devices on the fixed plate to give a good grip and locking action when the mould is closed for injection moulding. The purpose is to provide a mould closing and clamping operation without increasing the size and weight of the injection moulding unit.
