<p>The load measuring device measures wheel, axle and total loads of a vehicle. The measuring elements contains a resilient material, such as rubber, which can take up the transverse forces acting. The elements are dish-shaped with a zig zag or angled interior. In a central space is a measuring liquid which is driven out through a connecting pulse when the load is applied. The bottom of the dish is surrounded by a safety ring which takes up any pull on the element. The load on the element is proportional to the compression of the rubber.</p> |
