The method and the apparatus for continuous foam dispersion are used in the intensive aeration of waste water and in fermentation. In order to ensure continuous dispersion of large amounts of foam of high density with little expenditure of energy, the foam is completely dispersed sequentially by frictional force, shearing force and centrifugal force. The apparatus is composed of a housing (9) having foam entry nozzles (2) and discharge channels (11, 12) for liquid and gas. In and above the foam entry nozzle are arranged two or more rotationally symmetrical perforated bodies one above the other. The rotationally symmetrical body (3) first coming into contact with the foam is firmly joined to the foam entry nozzle (2). The rotationally symmetrical body (4) immediately following is attached to a shaft (5). Each two rotationally symmetrical bodies thus attached in different manners act as a shearing pair. The uppermost rotationally symmetrical body (4) is always attached to the shaft and, on its side facing away from the foam entry nozzle, is equipped with paddles (5) for centrifugal acceleration of the remaining foam. <IMAGE>
