<p>The bus seats are mounted on the side of the bus on concentric, rectangular sliders (1, 2) with their longest sides vertical. The inner slider is fitted to the wall of the bus and the outer slider forms part of the seat frame. The outer frame is made from a U-section duct sealed by a plate (3) on the top. The plate is extended to support ribs (4) joining the two sets of sliders for each seat. The sliders enable the seats to be pushed towards the wall to make a wide gangway in the middle of the bus. The seats are pushed towards the gangway when travelling, for more space.</p> |
