Amoxycillin derivatives, their preparation and injectable compositions containing such derivatives. A preferred composition comprises a mixture of sodium amoxycillin and D- alpha -carboxyamino-p-hydroxybenzylpenicillin disodium salt in a 1:1 ratio and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier. Typically, 0.25 g of a mixture according to the invention is dissolved in about 0.5-5 ml of sterile water or saline to form an injectable composition.
