发明名称 PIVOTTING END STOP IN A SHEET STACKER
摘要
1431605 Delivering sheets XEROX CORP 19 Dec 1973 [29 Dec 1972] 58829/73 Heading B8R A sheet-stacking receptacle comprises an inclined base 205, Figs. 3, 4 and 9b, for supporting the face of the stack, a front wall 207 against which the leading edges of the sheets abut, the wall 207 being narrower than the body of the base, Fig. 4, and at each side of the wall a pivoted hexagonal plate member 262. Each sheet strikes the members 262 and causes them to swing forwardly, and as they return into contact with the top sheet the sheets are urged downwards thereby to avoid the sheets riding up the wall 207. A plurality of receptacles form an assembly supported by three cam followers 211, 211, 213 in helical cam grooves 221, 227 in cam members 223, 224, 225, whereby, as the cam members are intermittently rotated in response to the direction of sheets approaching the assembly, all the receptacles are moved upwards. The grooves are so constructed that at any given time the receptacles are arranged in groups of five separated by a gap larger than that between receptacles in a group, while at the zone where sheets enter the receptacles, a larger gap is formed. Each receptacle carries a pivoted arm supporting a roller which rests on the stack in the receptacle below. By delivering one sheet formed from each original in a xerographic copying-machine into each receptacle, returning the receptacles to their lowest position, and repeating the process for each original, collated sets are obtained.
