<p>The ice cube tray comprises a body of material of thin unifor thickness throughout. the body has a top wall whose central portion has a flat top surface that includes longitudinally spaced openings. A bottom wall and side walls extend downwardly from the edges of each opening to define a cavity in which each bottom wall is arcuate in one direction. At least one half of each cavity has a width at the centre line and along the top wall which is greater than the width of any other portion of that half of the cavity in a direction parallel to the centreline. The centre of curvature of each bottom wall is in a region defined by the plane of the top wall and a parallel plane slightly above it. The upper edges of the side walls are connected to the top wall along a line lying in the plane of the flat surface of the top wall.</p> |
