<p>A sliding carriage mounted in guides esp. on the cab of the loading wagon, moves transverse to the pivot axes of the lid and carries a pair of vertical jaws which engage a crank pin on the free end of a lever mounted on that pivot axis and the guide jaws are in turn mounted on a pivoted arm on the carriage which is swung up into the position to engage the crank by a hydraulic actuator. A main hydraulic actuator transverses the carriage to operate the lifting lever which is angled to the horizontal in the open and closed positions. Simple and reliable.</p> |
