Housing for personal radiation dosimeter - with a simple closure operable only by trained operators

A radiation dosimeter based on thermoluminescence has a housing contg. one or more detectors. The housing is in three sections. The circular, hollow cap has a cylindrical section with an external bead at the perimeter of a ring shaped elastic membrane round a rigid nave. A stiff dividing plate fits inside the cap and is attached to the nave. A carrier plate with recesses for the detectors fits inside the cylindrical section of the cap. It has a slot or ridge which works as a closure with a ridge or slot in the cylindrical section. The housing can only be opened by trained personnel. The detector plates are well protected from dust and moisture. The plates can be removed and replaced with little chance of damage.
