Stabiliser mixts. (for addn. to Cl-contg. thermoplastics) contg. (a) 95-5 wt % of at least one organo-Sn and/or Sb mercaptide stabiliser and (b) 5-95 Wt % of a soln., in esters of inorganic or organic oxo-acids, of a diorgano-Sn oxide of formula R2SNO where R = 4-12C alkyl or benzyl, any organic ester present contg. no Sn-S linkage. The mixts. provide exceptional protection against degradation by heat or partic. light for Cl-contg. thermoplasts which contain either a light shielding agent (usually a UV absorber) or a pigment. |
