PURPOSE:To obtain a web balanced in longitudinal and vertical tensile strengths by introducing a fiber between a doffer and a condensing roller rotating at a small speed less than speed of the doffer and simultaneously repeatedly reciprocating the condensing roller in axial direction to randomize the fiber. CONSTITUTION:A fiber F on a belt 31 for feeding the fiber is fed through a feed roller 32, taker-in 33 and cylinder 34 to a doffer 1 and passed through between the doffer 1 and >=1 condensing rollers 2 rotating at a surface speed smaller than that of the doffer 1 and the fiber F is condensed to web the fiber. A crank lever 22 rotatably fitting eccentric disc 23 fixed to a vertical shaft 24 for driving is simultaneously coupled through a joint member to one end of shaft 15 of at least one condensing roller 2 and the condensing roller 2 is repeatedly reciprocated to an axial direction to randomize the direction of the above-mentioned fiber F on the roller 2. |
