<p>A blade, especially for tractor scrapers, having a movable section which may be extended to increase the local penetration of the cutting edge. An adjustment mechanism is operable to extend or retract the section as required by ground conditions. In one embodiment this is a threaded actuator which is turned to manually adjust the section. In another, it is an hydraulic cylinder which may be operated from the cab of the machine to project or retract the section.</p> |
