<p>1528223 Preparation of naphthalene-1,4- dicarboxylic acid dialkyl esters HOECHST AG 23 Jan 1976 [28 Jan 1975] 02676/76 Heading C2C The invention comprises a process for the preparation of a 1,4-naphthalenedicarboxylic acid ester by reaction of #-1-pyrrolidinocyclohexene with a muconic acid dialkyl ester to form a 4,4a,5,6,7,8-hexahydronaphthalene-1,4- dicarboxylic acid ester and dehydrating said ester to obtain the corresponding naphthalene- 1,4-dicarboxylic acid ester. In the example dimethylmuconate is reacted with #-1-pyrrolidinocyclolixane to obtain dimethyl - 4,4a,5,6,7,8 - hexahydronaphthalene- 1,4-dicarboxylic acid which is dehydrogenated by heating with sulphur.</p> |
