A device to extract heat from solar energy consists of at least one unit contracted on an equilateral multi-corner base, the foundation of which is constructed as a heat exchanger. The upper heat exchanging walls are provided with a large number of depressions which are conically narrowed towards their bottom ends and protrude into the flow path of the heat exchange medium. A glass wall covers the device and a glass cover surrounds the heat exchanger and bounds an air tight closed radiation reception chamber above the heat exchanger.
