<p>Machine for driving tunnels includes a rotating cutting head fitted with cutting picks and mounted in front of a cutting shoe. The cutting head together with its drive is pivotably guided in direction of advance in an unsupported section of the driven tunnel or in its last supported part. In its normal position parallel to direction of advance the cutting head and its drive are slidingly guided by guide beams and are spragged against support of an advanced tubular section of the tunnel or against last section of the finally supported tunnel at one end by a positioning means displaceable from the axially parallel position and at other end by a bearing pivoting across direction of machine advance.</p> |
