1476537 Mixing additives into thermoplastic polymers IMPERIAL CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd 14 Jan 1976 [31 Jan 1975] 4290/75 Heading C3P A thermoplastic polymer obtained by a process producing polymer in a molten state is compounded with a particulate additive by (a) mixing the polymer in the form of a powder at least 95% of which is capable of passing through a 2,000 Ám sieve with the particulate additive in a rotary blade mixer with blade tip speed sufficient to fluidize the mixture and then (b) further mixing in an internal mixer. Examples relate to mixing ethylene polymers and copolymers with carbon black.
