<p>Device for the surface treatment of flat objects, esp. glass panes, by sprays a vaporised liq. on the pane from numerous pistols driven in a synchronised oscillating motion at 90 degrees to the direction of travel of the panel. The pistol tols are arranged so that the sprayed regions formed by two adjacent pistols overlap during one complete oscillation cycle of the pistons but the conical sprays from two adjacent pistols do not meet each other. The path taken by each pistol is pref. ca 100 mm and larger than the average dia. of its sprayed region, and a crank is pref. used to impart an oscillating or reciprocating motion to the pistols. Esp. for applying semi-reflecting coatings to glass for the reflection of infra-red radiation.</p> |
