<p>Novel 5,5,7,7-tetramethylfuro[3,4-e]as-triazine-4-oxides of the formula I <IMAGE> in which R1 and R2 are identical or different and in each case denote H, F, Cl, (C1-C4)alkyl or straight-chain alkoxy, amino, NO2 or CF3 and, depending on the meanings, can assume various positions on the phenyl ring, are prepared by reaction of a compound of the formula II <IMAGE> with appropriate compounds of the formula III <IMAGE> in which R3 denotes methyl or ethyl. An NO2 group can be introduced into the phenyl ring after ring closure by nitration. The compounds particularly have a sleep-inducing and a slight tranquillising action.</p> |
