The infeed element Fig. 1 has adjustably mounted gripper elements 7, 10 on the fixed end pivotable parts thereof the pivotable part being urged into the gripping position by a spring 12 and operable by a fixed cam 14. The receiving gripper has a hook 104a on the fixed part 101 and a gripper element 108 and finger 107 on the pivotable element 102. The elements of this gripper are urged to the closed condition by a spring 113 and openable by a fixed cam member 112. In a modification the equivalent of jaw 108 is mounted on a bar rotatable about its longitudinal axis and urged into the gripping position by means of a torsion spring.</p> |
