1424466 Bearings TORRINGTON CO 23 Oct 1973 [9 Nov 1972] 49208/73 Addition to 1403596 Heading F2A A radial roller bearing comprises a cylindrical race 66 having an inwardly directed radial flange 64 at one end, an aperture in the flange to receive an axle, a freely rotatable cage 60 within the race, at least one tab 68 projecting inwardly from the race adjacent its end remote from the flange and in the direction of the flange, and a retainer ring 70 adapted to be located in a circumferential recess in the race by snapping it into position past said tab or tabs to locate the cage axially. The tab 68 may be formed by lancing. A coined area or a relief hole may be provided in the cylindrical race adjacent each tab. There may be three tabs unequally spaced around the race. |
