<p>Chloro-isonitroso-acetophenone derivs. of formula (I) are new: (where X1 is H, OH or OCONHR1; R1 is 1-6C alkyl; X2 is H, Cl or Br; R is 1-6C alkyl). (I) may be formulated as a powder, granules, suspensions, emulsions etc. using conventional adjuvants and diluents. Powders for spraying generally contains 25-95% (I), are for dusting 25-99%. A typical cpd. is O-(N-methylcarbamoyl)alpha-oxo-alpha- 4-methylcarbamoyloxy phenyl acethydroxamic acid chloride. This was prepd. from 85G O-(N-methylcarbamoyl)alpha-oxo-alpha-(4-hydroxyphenyl)acethydroxa- mic acid chloride and 60 ml methyl isocyanate in 35Q ml THF contg. 1 ml triethylamine.</p> |
