<p>The pressure control unit is for load-dependent pneumatic brakes, esp. for rail vehicles. It creates a lower resp. higher pressure in a connected brake cylinder, dependent upon a control pressure, which corresponds to the load at that particular moment. The control pressure (T) charges a changeover valve with control slide (3). The slide may be locked in positions for a higher resp. lower brake cylinder pressure (C). The valve is formed, so that the slide may be located in a fixed position at the start of each braking period. The valve has a spring-loaded sealing piston, wich at the start of each braking period is charged by a servo pressure (Cv) or brake cylinder pressure (C), against a spring, to actuate the control slide.</p> |
