Felt impregnation - by compression and passing in polymerisates and allowing felt to reassert before cooling

The felting material, consisting of natural and/or synthetic fibres, is subjected to a point compression by steel lips in a V formation to allow hot fluid polymerisates to be passed into the material. This is allowed to reassert itself for coling to stabilise the polymerisate layer inside. Strength and stability is given to the felt, esp. for carpeting applications, without wastage.
