<p>The flat bottomed amphibious boat has a body with several recesses, in each of which are rams mounted in a frame in each recess. The jacks are connected to a bearing which has mounted on it an axle supporting a wheel. The rams may be operated by pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical or other power supply. The wheel assemblies are driven by a power source and they enable the boat to be driven on land. The wheels (9,10) are assembled in pairs and are fitted with large tyres, which allow the boat to run on soft soil due to the low load pressure on the ground. Power is supplied independently to each wheel pair, and the rams are selectively retractable to different extents.</p> |
