The valve body (16) and the stop tap (38, 39) are no longer carried on oscillating shafts. The valve body slides in a hollow cylinder (17) fixed on the ball piece (9). It is joined to the membrane (I) by a rod, whilst the stop tap is solid with a rod (27), itself sliding in the other end of the hollow cylinder. This rod (27) is connected with movement of the accelerator pedal when it is depressed. This closes an air channel (36) across the valve body and allows the clutch to be actuated by accelerator pedal movement. There is an added feature which allows rapid clutch re-engagement.
|
