<p>The hydraulic conveying method for bulk goods involves forming a slurry of particles of the bulk goods with a carrier liquid. This slurry is pushed through a pipe line. The carrying liquid on one side and the dry bulk goods on the other side are introduced into a sump, and the slurry resulting from the mixture is pumped out of the sump and through the pipe line. The supply of carrier liquid introduced into the sump in a continuous stream is adjusted in reverse proportion to the change in flow of bulk powder introduced into the sump. The rate of flow of slurry through the pipeline is monitored, and is kept constant by adjustment of the speed of pumping the slurry from the sump in accordance with the measured changes in flow rate through the pipeline.</p> |
