1534091 Liquefied gas storage containers OWENS-CORNING FIBERGLAS CORP 14 Oct 1976 [3 Nov 1975 (3)] 42762/76 Heading F4P A liquefied gas container comprises a plurality of composite panels 40, each having a casing 40a, 40f, 40h, and, internal dividing plate 40d enclosing insulating material 40c, 40e, secured to the inner face of a supporting enclosure 30b in spaced relation by fastening means 48, 54, 56, 60 located at the edges of the panels, the fastening means being covered by insulating material 44a, 46a, itself covered by a facing 46b sealed to the casings of adjacent panels to form a fluid barrier. As shown the internal plates 40d together with a further facing 44b form a further fluid barrier. The insulating material 40c, 40e is preferably a rigid plastics foam, reinforced with a cellular structure in the case of floor panels, the casing of the panels being glass-fibre reinforced plastics material. |
