<p>The flash tube (2) is triggered by the plate P activated from the secondary winding of the transformer T. The intensity of the flash depends on the charge on whichever (one or several) of the condensers CM1...., CMn have for the moment been connected across the tube by the relays RL1,....., RLn. The remaining condensers re-charge themselves through their associated diodes D1, ---, Dn.
