The gear pump has an externally toothed inner rotor (1) and an intermeshing outer rotor (2) which is rotatably mounted with its cylindrical surface (28) in an eccentric ring (3). The ring has an externally closed cylinder (6) containing a piston (7) loaded by a spring (14). The pump housing (4) contains right angled channels (10, 11) connected with the pressure coupling of the pump or the outlet opening to the rotors. The piston is lifted against the spring from the circumferential surface of the outer rotor by pressure fluid. It is pressed against the outer rotor during the spring swivelling motion and pressure fall in the channel (10 or 11).
