The tensioner link is for a drive chain and automatically compensates for expansion during operation. It consists of two arms hinged on a common axle (3) mounted on the motor. Both arms (1, 2) have U-shaped cross-section and are connected by a forked spring (4) which provides the automatic tensioning. One arm has a curved tip (12) pressed against an intermediate link (13) and an elastic layer (15) resting on the chain (16). The other arm is fixed in place by a pin (17). Tensioning is irreversible due to a ratchet mechanism (6) between the arms. A second spring (7) rotates the pawl (6) so that it fits in a notch on the fixed arm (8).
|
