1473026 Cable connector SIEMENS AG 8 Aug 1975 [30 Aug 1974] 33100/75 Heading H2E A cable connector (Fig. 1) comprises a housing made of synthetic resin material and having two identical halves 1 and 1a, a pin base 6, metal brackets 3 and metal liners 2 fitted inside each half 1 and 1a to provide a screen round the connections on pin base 6. The metal liner (Fig. 2) has two tags 9 which make contact with the pin base 6 when the connector is assembled and four spiked tabs 4, the tips of which project beyond the outline of liner 2 so that when it is inserted in the housing 1 or 1a, the tips bite into the wall of the housing and liner 2 is secured in the housing. When the connector is assembled the brackets 3 clamp the screen 8 of cable 5 and provide a conductive path between the screen 8 and the liner 2, which in turn provides a conductive path to the pin base 6 through tabs 9.
