1473368 Electron beam deflecting apparatus SONY CORP 8 Aug 1974 [21 Aug 1973] 35073/74 Heading H1D To simplify manufacture of a winding jig for a saddle deflection coil for a CRT, the successive cross-sections of the coil wings taken transverse to the tube axis are formed on their outsides as concentric circular arcs 24; on their insides they are formed from circular arcs 25b about the same axis, continued in straight lines 25a, all parallel to the same transverse orthogonal axis OY. The winding jig has an inner male part (Fig. 10, not shown) and an outer female part (not shown) carrying an elongated spigot fitting into a well on the male part, the coil being wound into the spaces between the parts. The thickness of the coil on the equatorial plane OX increases towards the screen; the angle #a at which the straight line changes to the arc also increases, but the thickness of the coil wings between the arcs decreases, the total cross-sectional area at each section matching the prior art. Unlike the prior art, both parts of the jig require only simple machining.
|
