<p>1473476 Cylinder locks C ROSSETTI 12 Feb 1975 [14 Feb 1974] 6051/75 Heading E2A In a pin-type cylinder lock, the barrel is formed as two opposed elements X, Y, Fig. 2, which are disposed one each side of a longitudinal plane containing the keyhole C, confronting surfaces of the opposed elements forming the keyhole. Preferably the lock includes two cylinders 1, 2. Springs 7 and pins 6 for biassing the tumblers of each cylinder are accommodated in respective ends 12, 13 of a common block 8, Fig. 3, each end 12, 13 being engaged with its respective cylinder 1, 2 in a respective housing 14, 15, the elements of the cylinder and the block may be made by powder metallurgy moulding. The cylinders are held in the housing by a mutual connecting element 53 formed in two pieces 54, 55 each engaging a cylinder and rotatable on a spindle 56 but not removable therefrom. A latch 3 is operable by either cylinder.</p> |
