In examples resins are prepared by reacting 1,4- dichlorobutene-2 with 1,3-bis-(dimethylamino)- 2-hydroxypropane, with triethylenediamine, with N,N,N1,N1-tetramethyl p-xylylene diamine, with a mixture of 1,3-bis-(dimethylamino)-2-hydroxypropane and 2,4,6-tris- (dimethylaminomethyl) - phenol, with 1,4- bis - (diethylamino) - butene - 2 and with 1,4-dipiperidyl-butene-2; by reacting 1,4- dibromobutene-2- with N,N,N1,N1-tetramethyl ethylene diamine; by reacting 1,4- dichlorocyclopentene-2 with N,N1-dimethylpiperazine; by reacting 1,4-dichloropentene-2 with N,N,N1,N1-tetrakis-(hydroxyethyl)ethylene diamine; by reacting 1,4-dichloro-2-methylbutene-2 with N,N,N1,N1-tetramethyl hexylenediamine and by reacting 1,4-dichlorohexene-2 with N,N,N1,N1-tetrabutylethylenediamine; aqueous solutions of some of the resins, alone and mixed with polyvinyl alcohol, polyvinyl acetate and with hydroxyethylated starch, are applied to paper and dried to obtain electroconductive coatings.
