1463545 Pneumatic tyre treads CONTINENTAL GUMMI-WERKE AG 17 July 1974 [26 July 1973] 31597/74 Addition to 1324387 Heading B7C The tread of a pneumatic tyre comprises a pair of circumferential ribs 2 in its central region, a circumferential row of blocks 3 separated by transverse grooves 10 in each of its edge regions, circumferential grooves 4 separating the ribs 2 from one another and the rows of blocks, and recesses 7 extending into the ribs 2 from the grooves 4 such that each rib has on each side projections 5, 6 extending axially from a straight continuous central portion c of the rib free of recesses, the projections 5 projecting further than the projections 6 and the projections on the facing sides of the two ribs being aligned so that each projection 5 is opposite a projection 6, and in each edge region of the tread each groove 10 joining the associated groove 4 at a point opposite a projection 5 on the adjacent side of the adjacent rib 2. |
