A liquid (esp. blood) is aseptically transferred from one sterilised container to another by using a part from each container which melts and flows at a set temp. Lengths of these parts may be brought together into contact and, under heat and pressure, they are formed into a hermetically sealed transfer passage. The parts may be tubes made of fluoro-ethylene-propylene polymer, PVC, polychlorotrifluoroethylene or polyvinylidene chloride etc. |
